At Setyourworth.com, we prefer a life of simplicity and openness and have a practical, limited liability approach to how we work.

If you disagree with any element of these terms, please DO NOT USE this website or service. By using our website and broader services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Users of our website and broader services should read these Terms & Conditions in conjunction with our Privacy Policy.

You are providing your explicit consent to process your data as described and receive payment, as and when authorised by you.

By visiting, pre-registering, registering or using any aspect of our services, you are entering into a legally binding agreement with Setyourworth.com, a trading name of CoveyCarrot, based in the United Kingdom.

You are acknowledging you are over 18 years old, and where you are accessing our services on behalf of a company, you are authorised to do so.

Where you access our services on behalf of a person under the age of 18, you confirm that you are the consenting parent or legal guardian of that individual.

Role of Setyourworth.com

For the avoidance of doubt, whilst Setyourworth.com provides a wide range of advanced services to help individuals achieve their career and life-related goals, Setyourworth.com is an intermediary, acting to bring those seeking a more lucrative salary and benefits and enquiring employers together.

Using technology Setyourworth.com matches workers skills, experience, and preferences (not exhaustive) with employers seeking to fill a position.

Enhanced services are subject to patent applications and are not detailed here.

Intellectual Property

Setyourworth.com own all intellectual property rights to our website and broader services, and any material published in and around it.

Our services and associated technologies are subject to both a US patent and Patent Cooperation Treaty application (PCT) filed in a large number of countries where Setyourworth.com operates or intends to operate.

We ask that you do not modify, publish or exploit any material except as allowed by these terms of use. This includes not using illustrations, photographs, videos or audio sequences separately from any accompanying text, howsoever obtained, without explicit permission. However, you may download material from our website for personal, non-business use, including social media sharing and news reporting.

The images, logos and names on this website that identify us and our products and services are our trademarks. This site does not give anyone any licence or right to any image, logo, name or other intellectual property rights.

Worker Profiles

Individuals, i.e. workers, and those seeking employment, will be required to set up a secure profile when invited. The profile replaces the need for a CV or resume. The profile will need to be secured with a strong password and a secondary authentication process to allow log-in. You agree to keep your log-in details secure.

Your profile will naturally contain personal information, and therefore whilst we make every effort to secure our service, we urge members to safeguard access to their profile. You agree not to share your log-in details with anyone.

To prevent fraudulent accounts from being created, we reserve the right to ask you to verify yourself through a trusted third-party verifier.

You acknowledge and agree that the profile you create will be a true reflection of your circumstances to date and be truthful in every way.

Unlike the contents of a CV or resume, you will notice that your profile invites a wide range of engagement to maximise our artificial intelligence systems' benefits. These aspects are linked to your personality traits, working preferences, and interests (not exhaustive) to provide a more accurate match to an enquiring employer and find a career-enhancing role for you.

The contents of your profile and the content you provide are strictly private and confidential under our Privacy Policy.

You agree to complete your profile accurately and comprehensively, to the best of your ability. You confirm that the content you provide in your profile is yours and does not violate any applicable laws or privacy rights, copyrights or other intellectual property rights owned by another person or organisation.

You agree, understand, and accept that we reserve the right to delete any profile if used for anything other than intended or is in breach of these Terms and Conditions.

You further agree that you will not engage or use our service in any way that could be deemed unlawful, malicious, or damaging, regardless of the intent or the party affected.

Remuneration & Benefits

Remuneration and benefits packages are strictly between the potential employee/worker and the company or business making the offer. Setyourworth.com will not under any circumstance get involved in personnel matters agreed between an individual and a potential employer.

Inequality & Discrimination

Where there is an allegation of inequality, discrimination, or prejudice towards an individual, Setyourworth.com is committed to reporting such allegations to stakeholders and senior management of the enquiring company, in the interests of ensuring a more diverse and inclusive national working culture. Beyond reporting such incidents, Setyourworth.com will not engage in personnel matters.

Licence & Consent

You and/or your organisation grant Setyourworth.com permission to store, process and analyse your data for the reasons conveyed on our website and referenced in our Privacy Policy and these Terms and Conditions.

Your permission is granted on the basis that you, and you alone, own all your personal information and any content provided in your profile or account.

By way of using our service, you agree to provide Setyourworth.com with an exclusive licence to use it in the manner described on our website, contained within our Privacy Policy and these Terms. The licence allows us to carry out our role as an intermediary, using computer science to process your data to deliver the services described, and maintain your anonymity.

The licence you grant extends to our partners or associates we may work with from time to time, as such is transferable, including the ability to sublicence on a global basis where a company may have an international presence. Where such arrangements are utilised, Setyourworth.com will have in place legally binding contracts to protect your personal information.

You can end this licence immediately, without notice, by simply emailing us at datacontroller@setyourworth.com, upon which your entire profile and any related information will be deleted from our system. Once deleted, no data will be recoverable. For further information, please also see our Privacy Policy.

Inquiring Company Specific Terms & Code of Conduct

To use this website and our broader services, any enquiring company looking for a specific candidate, otherwise referred to as a perfect match, must first register and pay the joining fee, unless waived. Setyourworth.com reserve the right to charge an annual subscription fee. See Joining Fees, Subscriptions & Payments.

These Terms & Conditions apply to all organisations, companies, institutions, businesses and alike (employers), including any third party acting on behalf of the enquiring employer. This is an agreement between the parties. (you and us):

Where you are an individual acting on behalf of the enquiring employer, you acknowledge that you have the authorisation to do so by using our service. If you do not have authority, please DO NOT use our website or broader services.

Upon registering and paying the joining fee (where applicable), you will be invited to create an account. The account is password protected and should be kept confidential.

You are responsible for keeping your log-in secure. As part of our Information & Security Policy, we may contact you to verify your particulars to ensure all enquiring employers are bona fide.

This may be conducted internally or performed by a trusted third-party verifier. If you do not consent to the verification process, we will assume you no longer wish to use our service and any associated account will be permanently deleted.

Where you use our service and successfully find and subsequently offer a 'perfect match' candidate, no additional fee will be payable. We reserve the right to amend our pricing giving no less than 30 days notice on our website or where a member is new, at the point of registration/joining.

Should your account be compromised from within your organisation or misused by a 'bad leaver' or similar, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Setyourworth.com from all claims and liabilities, including costs directly associated with the misuse of your account.

PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE IF YOU FEEL UNABLE TO KEEP YOUR ACCOUNT LOG-IN SECURE.

You agree to provide the stakeholders' contact details or senior management and shall keep these details up to date on your account. These details must include a current email address.

You agree and acknowledge that the process you use to find candidates whilst using our service is solely your responsibility. You further agree and understand that Setyourworth.com operates in the capacity of a computer science intermediary, not an agent or staffing agency and is not liable for your recruitment campaigns or employment decisions reached.

Code of Conduct

  1. You agree to act within the spirit of this agreement and reward candidates in good faith according to both the nature of our service and these Terms and Conditions.

  2. You agree to provisionally accept the salary expectations of each candidate you plan to interview.

  3. Where a candidate has enhanced their profile beyond their actual skill or knowledge base and has subsequently produced a false positive in our system, you are within your rights to adjust the salary accordingly. Any salary negotiations are strictly between you and the candidate.

  4. Where the candidate meets your expected criteria and you intend to offer employment; you agree to pay the salary amount accepted at the time of the search outcome. This is without reduction or taper.

  5. You agree to ensure that those tasked with interviewing candidates are adequately trained in both diversity and equality.

  6. You agree that your company has adopted and abides by a policy to prevent modern-day slavery.

  7. You encourage stakeholders to be notified should it be apparent that an individual within your business is suspected of acting beyond what is considered ethical.

Joining Fees, Subscriptions & Payments

Joining and annual subscription fees are payable to ensure 1) members using our service are genuine and have not been created on-mass by disruptive technologies, and 2) are part of our strategy to widely share the cost of recruitment to the benefit of all parties. Individuals

The joining fee for Individuals is as shown on our website. We reserve the right to amend the joining fee without notice. This does not affect existing members. The joining fee includes 12 months full membership to our service.

Our joining fee can vary from time to time during promotions and events and may go up as well as down. Promotions can be withdrawn at any time without notice.

Members can cancel any time without notice. You are under no obligation to renew or maintain your profile on our platform and can delete it at any time using the deletion tool within your profile.

We reserve the right to charge an annual membership fee to keep a profile live on our system. This is on a no-obligation basis.

Employers

The joining/registration fee for Employers is shown on our website. We reserve the right to amend the joining/registration fee without notice and does not affect existing registered employers using our service. The joining fee includes 12 months full membership to our service. A joining/registration fee is required for each division or separately run premise.

Our joining fee vary from time to time during promotions and events and may go up as well as down. Promotions can be withdrawn at any time, without notice.

We reserve the right to amend our pricing structure, giving registered employers no less than 30 days notice of any intended change. There is no onus on Employers to use our service. There is no obligation on any Employer to renew or maintain a profile on our platform and can delete it at any time using the deletion tool within its profile.

Employers can cancel at any time without notice.

Unions & Closed User Groups

Union members or other closed user groups may have preferential rates for our service. Please speak with your Union/membership organiser to obtain their Setyourworth.com discount code. We reserve the right to exclude a discount code where our fees are already promoted or discounted.

Changing your mind

If you change your mind you can cancel our 'agreement' at any time, without notice, by no longer using our website or services. You can delete ALL your information using the deletion tool within your profile.

Refunds – No refunds are provided unless cancelled within 14 days of joining/renewing. In this circumstance, a full refund will be provided. Refunds can take 7-10 days to reach your account or provider.

Our responsibility

In the spirit of this agreement, we will use our best endeavours to ensure our website and service availability, but we cannot guarantee as such.

We outsource, work with, or use third partner partners. We promise to use all reasonable due diligence to ensure such partners are ethical and trustworthy and ensure that contractual obligations are placed upon each arrangement to safeguard members' information and content.

We may, from time to time during upgrades and alike, end, modify or change any element of our service or its availability without notice.

Whilst we will make every reasonable effort to ensure your data's integrity, we make no guarantee to that effect.

Limited liability

Where we have a disagreement or opposing view, we, the parties, agree to talk, compromise, and let common sense prevail to find an amicable resolution.

You agree that Setyourworth.com will have the deciding vote in the conclusion of any such discussions. By using our website and broader services, you agree to this explicit term.

We cannot be held liable for any loss caused in connection with our website or service or in connection with the use, inability to use, or results of the use of our website or broader services. Therefore we exclude any liability to you for any loss of income, business, profits, data, or goodwill or other damage whether or not it was foreseeable. This does not affect our liability for death or personal injury arising from our negligence, nor any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Setyourworth.com accepts no liability in relation to offers made by an enquiring company which it later changes or amends in some way.

Setyourworth.com does not validate employment offers made by employers, nor provides any guarantee or warranty of work. Parties should request all offers and relating detail of said employment, are put in writing. Due to the many personal variables, either party may enter, Setyourworth.com provides no guarantee, or a timeframe, of a match.

Where a court disagrees with any aspect of our terms and agreement, we will not be liable to you for any amount exceeding the fees you have paid.

Change and Jurisdiction

Any changes we make to our terms of use in the future will be posted on this page and where appropriate, notified to you by email.

We reserve the right to change or modify our agreement and our Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make any big changes, we promise to provide you with notice of the changes through either our website communication tools, or if appropriate via email. In relation to small changes, the date of the last update will be shown at the top of this page.

Ultimately, if you object to any implemented changes you reserve the right to delete your account from within your profile and thereafter stop using our service.

The English courts will have exclusive jurisdiction over any claim arising from or related to the use of our website and our broader services. Any disputes shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales.
